چکیده

We construct two graphical models for skin detection from a large collection of labeled data. Within it, parameter estimation is eradicated by tree approximations and the belief propagation algorithm permits to obtain exact and fast solution for skin probability at pixel locations. We then assess the performance on the Compaq database.

Skin lesion tracking using structured graphical models

An automatic pigmented skin lesions tracking system, which is important for early skin cancer detection, is proposed in this work. The input to the system is a pair of skin back images of the same subject captured at different times. The output is the correspondence (matching) between the detected lesions and the identification of newly appearing and disappearing ones. First, a set of anatomica...

Pixel-Based Skin Detection for Pornography Filtering

A robust skin detector is the primary need of many fields of computer vision, including face detection, gesture recognition, and pornography filtering. Less than 10 years ago, the first paper on automatic pornography filtering was published. Since then, different researchers claim different color spaces to be the best choice for skin detection in pornography filtering. Unfortunately, no com...

Non-melanoma skin cancer diagnosis with a convolutional neural network

Background: The most common types of non-melanoma skin cancer are basal cell carcinoma (BCC), and squamous cell carcinoma (SCC). AKIEC -Actinic keratoses (Solar keratoses) and intraepithelial carcinoma (Bowen’s disease)- are common non-invasive precursors of SCC, which may progress to invasive SCC, if left untreated. Due to the importance of early detection in cancer treatment, this study aimed...

Conditional Random Fields for Airborne Lidar Point Cloud Classification in Urban Area

Over the past decades, urban growth has been known as a worldwide phenomenon that includes widening process and expanding pattern. While the cities are changing rapidly, their quantitative analysis as well as decision making in urban planning can benefit from two-dimensional (2D) and three-dimensional (3D) digital models. The recent developments in imaging and non-imaging sensor technologies, s...
